Astell Collins - First Anniversary

One year later
As a man I awoke better
Unto my left as I looked over
Was lying besides me, my dear Marcia
Feeling unworthy of her divinity
I thank God for His expressed mercy
With her, He has demonstrated a love yet to be understood
And in the wonderment of monogamy, faithfully I stood
Twelve months had passed
Yet the endless love she has expressed I could not grasp
I have loved her the best way I could
Sometimes abandoned the thoughtfulness of things that I should
Completely in love with her, old visions became anew
There is still no limit to what I would do
She motives me
And inspires me deliberately
Marcia has proven to be all that I need
And out of her heart flows the purest of love indeed
In her existence
I marveled at her radiance
My desire is to become her sanctuary
For this our first anniversary
