You drone

I yawn

You suddenly stop

And I perk up


Gradually your voice gets softer

Fainter, and then

I begin to nod

And nod...


BANG! The noise attracts the

Attention of the class

And the teacher shoots a glassy stare

And my heart jackhammers.


I am wide awake, frightened by her glare

But afterwards when

She resumes with her teaching

I continue sleeping again.
