The boat anchored
On the shore
Swings a bit
As the waves splash;

But when the tide
Gets real mad,
It tries its best
To hold on there.

So are we anchored
In our lives
To our faith, our family,
And our friends;

The daily ups-and-downs
Shake us a bit,
But a major haul
Almost jolts us down.

That’s when we need
All our anchors there
That would keep us afloat
And hold us firmly in place;

And prevent us from toppling over,
And from going astray;
Thus, being anchored helps us
To keep our problems at bay.
