Ashwin Satyal - My funeral

The years have passed,
The time has begun,
I dont know for how long my life will last.

Second by second, moment by moment
I recall my memories and the life i lent
Im just away from my name to glow,
I know dear, tears are harsh to flow.

Yes, the time has come
The reaper is near
For all whom I loved and for all whom i cared,
All that remains is one last fight to overcome fear.

I see the people everywhere,
Crying on my helpless body
I havent left my dear,
Just dont worry, Im not gone forever;
Ive always loved you my dear, I know the God is clever.

Deep inside me I feel the pain,
My soul is gone and I have nothing to gain.
This is bitter, but this is the truth;
Im attending my own funeral, holding a shiny tooth.

Years have passed, the moment is gone
I sit beside my grave and the work has been done.
