Ashley Root - For our Soldiers

They left for war,
Without a second thought.
Walked out the door,
Willing to get caught.
Not knowing what's in store for them,
And not really caring.
Leaving the women who love them,
And their children they are barring.
Watching people die while tears,
Fill their eyes and cover their face.
Putting behind their fears,
They're willing to save this place.
I really don't know what to say,
How to thank you,
For putting your life on the line each day,
Just know we're behind you!
