Ashley Lynch - I Am Somebody

I’ve been weak all my life
I’ve been beaten all my life
I’ve been humiliated all my life
And I’ve been nothing of my life
Though the sun is shining bright
My day is dark as the cold night
As the day goes on I lose sight
I Lose sight of my life and who I became
Everything changes but my life stays the same
I’ve been cowardly and scared all my life
I’m drowning in my own tears
I’ve been controlled by my fears
I’ve been nothing all these years
But that ends today
I’m tired of living in dismay
I’m going to stand up tall and face the world
I’m tired of being that lost little girl
Today is a new day and I see the sun
A new chapter in my life has finally begun
I am strong and fearless
I am proud and Confident
I am no longer nothing
I am something
I am somebody
And I will be somebody the rest of my life
