Arthur Matos

From Sergipe (Northeast of Brazil), singer-songwriter Arthur Matos is one of the great revelations of Brazilian music. With his pleasant voice, acoustic guitar, talent and charisma, he has been conquering varied audiences over the country.

Arthur Matos began as lead singer of Nantes, widely known band with large recognition in Sergipe from 2007 to 2011. After the band broke up, the singer devoted himself to a solo career, releasing his first album in 2012, 'Seu Lugar', very well received by critics and audiences.

In 2012, the singer went on a tour for the album 'Seu Lugar' in Sao Paulo, followed by an extensive U.S.A tour with the band Rosie And Me, where played in the world's largest music conference, South by Southwest-SXSW in Austin (Texas), and in the Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles (California).

After that, the artist released second album 'Pacifico Atlantico', for which he received an invitation to return to SXSW in 2015.

Arthur is now playing many concerts to release his third studio album - the first album in English 'Accidental Light'. The album was released in July 2014, with an extensive tour in Sao Paulo and Curitiba, playing shows in prestigious venues and festivals.

'Accidental Light' brings honest songs full of emotion, and a more remarkable maturity and consistency, while maintaining the simplicity that has proven to be as captivating as the beauty of his melodies and chords. Throughout the 11 tracks, the mild climate trampled on acoustic guitar and Arthur's vocals blends with the density of pianos, mellotrons, guitars and soundscapes, creating a sound baptized by folk artists that influence Arthur Matos’ career.
