ART D‘ECHO is a Swiss band founded by Martin Akeret, Marianna Pisano and Alessandro Maranta by the end of 2015. Martin (keys, electronica) who is known as Popshop already released many albums such as "Visual Heart Blood", "New Bones" and "Salon Bizarre". He also produced videoclips of his songs and one of them – "Basic Life Support" – was even selected for the best of at "CH-Filmszene". Martin played live performances as solo act in CH/D/A and even twice in Montréal. Additionally he was booked as support act for well known artists like Zoot Woman and Veto. The young and talented singer Marianna is inspired by Italian entertainers such as Renato Carosone which mixed the rhythms of Tarantella (from the south of Italy) in combination with African and American melodies. From there she discovered the passion for Jazz music. Next to the singing qualities one important issue is to interpret the songs in which she lets influence her passion for theater. The roots of guitar player Alessandro reach deeply into the tradition of modern guitar. He was born at the time of Hendrix‘ "Are You Experienced?", the first album of the Doors and the pioneering record of the Beatles. At the age of fourteen, he taught himself how to play the guitar by learning the blues scale and chords and improvising to his records with rock and jazz music. The three combine their different influences to a whole.
