ARSHAJ GAIKWAD - A LECTURE AT 8

Description

I am always complaining,
I can hardly wait,
The most annoying thing here,
Is the lecture at 8.

As the night gives rise,
To a well lit dawn,
My alarm goes off,
Before the light hits the lawn.

And then dragging my stony body along,
Getting into clothes combinations wrong,
Somehow my mum kicks me right away,
'Off you go', she says, 'never ever sway'.

With the cool morning breeze snatching comforts away,
Before a screeching horn bring my senses on way,
What will I learn in Patho today?
Who knows, who cares there's a lecture anyway.

Rushing through the road with the speed of light,
I try to hurt no one with such a blurring sight,
Still I'll be late, I think they'll wait,
Reach my destination with parts in places right.

And then though I find its eight past 8,
I rush up the stairs thinking, 'Oh! That's great'
Of all in the world this thing I hate,
Peeping through closed doors in this sleeply state.

Inside I find no 'GURU' to preach,
Everyone is laughing at my state of heat,
So much for a heading boring day,
Spoiled my sleep with nothing to say.

And so when I surrender to my bed at night,
My eyes are always waxy white,
I tell her at once, anything can wait,
I'LL KILL THE ONE WHO TELLS ME,
THERE'S A LECTURE AT 8...!
