Up late int the middle of the night
thinking of the arms that hold me tight
Barely able to sleep because thoughts of you feel my head like caffiene
and you give me all types of energy

Up late in the middle of the night waiting for dawn to break through the folds of darkness
I wish to have you close to me
so I can feel your breath on the back of my neck
And know I am not the only one in this train wreck of emotion

Up late in the middle of the night I reach out and say your name but i know you're not here
I wait till the next day to see you because in the middle of the night I have no other option
