Argentina Makes Major Debt Repayment

Argentine made one of its largest debt repayments on Monday, for US$5.9 billion, on its Boden 2015 bond. The repayment was made on time, with the funds coming from 2% of the central bank's total foreign exchange reserves. The corporate media and right-wing opposition criticized the decision to use forex reserves to pay the debt, but observers felt the move was the best option.
