Aretha Franklin has transcended...

She has covered a wide range of musical styles; worked with a range of producers and artists, from Curtis Mayfield to Lauryn Hill... And while she noted that 'soul' can be in anything, from country to R&B, she was still pegged as being associated with 'soul' as a musical genre, which is why i think the title of 'Queen Of Soul' is limiting. It was difficult for me to think of my favorite songs during the commentary, but a few favorites are:
