On Oct. 2, Coconuts TV asked Occupy Hong Kong protesters in the Admiralty neighborhood whether they were really using the much-reported Firechat app to organize. Some were using it simply to read messages (while being wary of fake missives from China) while others had never heard of it.

Most people we found were still using mainly Whatsapp, Facebook, and Instagram to organize protests, we found
