archangel lucifer - war

war is meant to be fought
but patriotism
patriotism is an infallible disease
fighting for a belief is noble
but fighting a country is flawed
both countries and beliefs can be flawed
and construed
but at least a belief comes from you
not from a false idol
or land supposedly owned
all Patriotism does is destroy lives
innocent men women and children
all to claim couple drops of oil
a few feet of land
a slightly stronger support
for the church of the 'greater good'
blood spilt
from those who could do great things
forcing entire countries
into labels and stereotypes
begging for help from the ones who
labeled them
forced them into submission
like the poor savages they are viewed to be
satisfying the insecure
wars are meant to be fought
i will fight this war
against war
