Aram Stefanian - Your first chore

An angel approached you eyeball to eyeball and said,
''You just sprouted wings, and we're flying up to heaven.
I know how it feels when you realize you are dead.
Do not freak out! You'll love your everlasting haven.''
You glommed the distant view of Earth fading out rapidly,
Feeling uptight and nostalgic about your former nest.
Stoked on the pure ivory Light shining on you vividly,
You heard, ''You're on my list. Come on in and be my guest.
From now on you are an angel, my little carrier.
You have to carry out my will, to love and to assist all.
Your first chore is to take a form of an armed warrior
And prevent the fallen ones from trespassing at nightfall.''
