You survived thru the long
And lonely winter night
To meet the morning after
Resulted in a knockdown drag-out fight

And didn't need anybody but the one
Who could turn you out like a light
Taking advantage of being cheated
No matter if friends bleed you white

You stopped looking for love long
Before your date crashed and burned
Do you think you misused your last chance
Which on the waterworks you turned

The past is gone and the
Future hasn't come yet
There's just the current present
To make you forget about death
