I've been looking for years
For a pure love that must exist
Been cheated and denied but I
Could fake seductions resist

Seeking anyplace, swallowing
Bitter tears of humiliation
Abused and abandoned
So hopeless about reconciliation

My heart was 2 broke and
It needed skilled mending
My soul was so hollow that
Had thirst for ascending

Now I thought I got a new friend
And this affection grew on me
Never believed that real love
Might be for sale

Take me out of that infernal forest
It's our time to hit the trail
