Little creatures so powerful
They seep into every hole
Easy for them to colonize
Every mortal mind

Meek they look
As you spell, one by one
But this is a deceitful wall
Causing men’s downfall
Like flood water they come
United as one
Engulfing our flesh

Angels they are
If tamed by a quill
Obeying your will
Changing iron to silver
Or agate from timber

Like herbs
They heal the spirit
In danger they come
Carrying a first aid kit

Tender they can be
Or fierce like the sea
Words are a two-sided coin
Toss it carefully
Spend it on something worthy
