Apple wins patent for foldable screen display

Apple has won a patent for a foldable screen display that could be applied to iPhones and its other devices.
According to CNN,... the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Tuesday local time granted the patent about an electronic device with a flexible or bendable display and cover.
Apple submitted the application in January last year,... which was among a number of patent applications the tech giant drafted around the idea of a foldable display.
Samsung and Huawei have been the front-runners of foldable phones, but neither of the companies' devices have hit the market yet.
An analyst told CNN that he believes the earliest Apple could release a foldable smartphone would be late 2020 or early 2021.
