Apeksha Kumar - My inner self

Walking down a snow covered lane...
a dark silent night with some drops of rain..
i knew i was lost..had no where to go..
snow was all i could see so i continued with the flow..
with nothing to lose and nothing to gain..
no friend no foe only the silent lane..

unaware of the fate that lies ahead..
i kept walking as my tears shed..
confused, helpless, numb and weak..
i fell on the snow and it began to freeze..
i screamed for help...i couldn't move..
no one could hear me..i was all aloof...
the end was near..i had nothing to seek..
soom i felt my soul was free..

i closed my eyes waiting for my fall..
saw the angels and heard their call..
i tried my best but could not flee..
things turn to gray and no more of glee..
suddenly i felt some warmth around..
a sense of bliss..saw the sun shining down..
through the sunshine a hand i could see..
a tender voice setting me free..

i reached the hand without any strain..
my numb feets got strength again..
no love no hate.. neither joy nor pain..
not right not wrong..no loss no gain..
the guiding light did lift me up and carried me till dawn..
the morning did await me..the night left far beyond..
i looked upon to the source.. which came to me as help..
to my surprise..it was none other than my inner self..
