Maya is when
We know
Deep within
We are all
Bare, bony,
Scary, ugly
Skeletons…

Yet we fall
For the
Outer layer
Of body
Beautiful,
Face graceful,
Smile wonderful
Eyes bountiful…
Behaviour
Tactful -
That makes the
Whole nature
Of our life
So flimsy,
Conceited
And deceitful!

Yet,
That's the only way
We make our
Mundane life
So livable, breathable
And enjoyable :)

Maybe
It's a
Coping mechanism
By which we ignore
The all-pervading
Biting reality,
And embrace
The encompassing
Surreality…
