2009 నియోజ‌క‌వ‌ర్గాల పున‌ర్విభ‌జ‌న‌లో భాగంగా కంభం , ఆర్ద‌వీడు మండ‌లాలు పూర్తిగా చేరాయి. అలాగే బెస్త‌వారిపేట మం డ‌లానికి చెందిన 9 గ్రామాలు ఈ నియోజ‌క‌వ‌ర్గంలో చేరాయి. పిడ‌త‌ల కుటుంబానికి గ‌ట్టి ప‌ట్టు ఉన్న ఈ నియోజ‌క‌వ‌ర్గం లో పిడ‌త‌ల రంగారెడ్డి నాలుగుసార్లు, కంభంలో మరోసారి గెలుపొందారు.ఈయ‌న కుమారుడు విజ‌య‌కుమార రెడ్డి ఒక‌సారి, కోడ‌లు సాయి క‌ల్ప‌నారెడ్డి మ‌రోసారి గెలిచారు. రంగారెడ్డి సోద‌రుడు రాంభూపాల్ రెడ్డి ఒక‌సారి నెగ్గారు. రంగారెడ్డి మంత్రి గా , స్పీక‌ర్ గా, పిసిసి అధ్య‌క్షుడిగా ప‌ని చేసారు. 2009 ఎన్నిక‌ల్లో రాష్ట్ర వ్యాప్తంగా ప్ర‌జారాజ్యం 18 సీట్లు గెల‌వ‌గా, ప్ర‌కాశం నుండి గిద్ద‌లూరు నియోజ‌క‌వ‌ర్గం ఒక్క‌టి మాత్ర‌మే గెలిచింది. అన్నా వెంక‌ట రాంబాబు ప్ర‌జారాజ్యం అభ్య‌ర్దిగా ఇక్క‌డి నుండి గెలుపొందారు.
