'Anwar the chameleon extraordinaire'

Umno Youth Chief Khairy Jamaluddin has dubbed opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim a "chameleon extraordinaire" based on a report by the Washington Post.

The article published on Monday said that Anwar had told his friends in the United States that he regretted using terms such as 'Zionist aggression'.

"(He) spent a lot of time offering explanations to old friends, not to mention House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Howard Berman and a Jewish leader or two," writer Jackson Diehl said in the article titled 'Flirting with zealotry in Malaysia'
