Anti-Mugabe Demonstrators March Through Bulawayo

Tens of thousands of Zimbabweans took to the streets of Harare, Bulawayo and other cities on November 18, celebrating the possibility of the end of Robert Mugabe’s rule after 37 years.
The demonstrations were the culmination of a week of large political events in the country, beginning with the a seizure of power</a> by the Zimbabwean military on November 15.
Movement for Democratic Change President and former Zimbabwean Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai, arrived in the capital on November 16, during talks between the military and the Robert Mugabe regime over a timetable for his resignation.
The day before the demonstrations were held, Mugabe made his first appearance</a> since the military takeover, attending a graduation ceremony at Zimbabwe Open University.
