Anti-austerity protest in Madrid

Public sector workers blocked traffic in Madrid as they protested against austerity measures planned by Spain's government as it tries to cut the budget deficit.

Spain has seen a series of protests since prime minister Mariano Rajoy announced cuts on July 11. The government wants to make savings worth 65 billion euros over the next two and a half years.
