Anthony Joseph Erangey - The Maze
3 Views • Jun 14, 2014
Description
Demands the toll, we dread to pay.
The boatman waits this very day,
To ferry us to destined end.
We contemplate the grand design
In awe and wonder, we remain.
For life’s ken be, not our domain.
Tis jurisdiction of Divine.
As Children wild, we romp, and play.
And in our teens, become aware,
That not all thoughts or dreams are shared.
There might not be, another day.
Early adults, fast forge, new ground.
Courtship, marriage, young of their own.
Some choose independence, alone.
All are stunned, by dreams, lost and found.
At this stage, all paths separate,
Options open, while doors are closed.
Careers are made, and plans composed
Goals accomplished and tables set.
Weddings, funerals, wars and peace.
New generations, lead the way.
Technical advances hold sway.
Blood pressures soar, ailments increase.
A path opens within the maze.
All others seemingly, explored.
Harshly wrinkled visions are born.
No turning back now, at this phase.
The boatman taps his foot now fast.
The ferry will be leaving soon.
December rules, and gone is June.
We have finished the maze, at last
