All these sacrifices
He makes for me
Is purnishing me
Why won't he tell me?
It costs him so for me

Only a glimpse
At his sweaty face
Behind the laced curtain
Is enough to open my eyes
His lips smile

Well i never had really
touched the rough texture
of life as he had really
so felt the mixture
of anguished heart yet joyful.

To grasp the picture
Is my dilemma untold
could it be the fear?
the love? the pressure?
yet his lips smile back

The smile that never is
that i know for true
covers the agony inside
yet consolation he obtains
for my presence is satisfactory.
