Annan says he is expecting a response from Syria on a plan to end the conflict in the country.
The details have not been made public, but just days ago, when the former Secretary General of the UN was in Damascus, he presented what he has described as concrete proposals to stop the violence that has accompanied the uprising against Assad's rule.
