You are up there
Perched
And poised
On a citadel.
Like the Gods
So very human
So very living
But yet
Could not be held near.

I wish someday
You would walk
Down the citadel.
like a human,
have a heart
of feelings and emotion,
which could love
and get loved in return.

But till you remain
Perched,
High on the citadel,
You will be worshipped
Just like the Gods
So very human
So very living
Yet,
distant like an idol.

You are so distant
In the same world,
Under the same sky
But
Unreachable
Just like the stars
Very much seen
Very much admired
Yet never could be felt near.


I wish someday
You would abandon your star status
And hold out
Your hands
Or simply reach out to me
From beyond the clouds
Beyond the distances
And
hold me close
very close
to your being.

But till you remain distant,
Unreachable,
perched on a citadel
you will be wished for
Just like the stars
Very much seen
Very much admired
Yet never could be felt near.
