Angelic Warrior - Night Shade

Drift through the forest like the breeze through the branches.
In the shade of these grand trees the sun is a mere glimmer.
Walk on my friend but caution,
the bush holds not only beauty but also danger.
What you see may be an illusion,
a trick of the fey that inhabit these depths.
Sometimes things are not always what they seem,
those perfectly ripe berries may hold a deadly kiss.
Lost in the games of the woods,
t' is nearly impossible to find one's way out.
this way seem like that,
and every hidden mountain, a carbon copy of the last.
Hunger roars at you like a vicious animal,
daring to attack if not given his heed.
Rest now in the soft grass on the edge of a clearing.
But whats this?
The rich fruit of a tomato plant,
its vines slithering up the trunk of a conifer.
Blinded by the veil of exhaustion and famine,
you pluck one of the heavy ripe buds.
Staring at your sacred cow,
desire blooms within your being.
In this moment the world revolves around the blood red torment.
With the first nip you are overcome with desire,
and hurriedly devour it whole.
Filled with this gift from the heavens you feel relief.
Unexpectedly, a fire begins to burn.
Like a match to tinder,
you are overcome.
The inferno chokes you-
lay silent and still.

For this was no Tomato, but the deadly Night Shade.

(btw...people used to think that tomatoes where toxic, because of night Shade. It is poisonous and it grows the same way as tomatoes and they look almost exactly the same.)
