I was always understanding
And I was always there
I waited patiently
For a sign that you cared

I gave you the most precious gift
A girl can give a guy
I gave you my heart, body and soul
And for that you made me cry

You just couldnt love me
No matter how hard I tried
The better I treated you
The more you seemed to lie

To remember how much I loved you
Really makes me sick
I gave you all of me
And you were such a dick

I was too blind to see
What everyone else always knew
You never really loved me
Though you knew I loved you

Everyone tried to tell me
They tried to make me see
But I wouldnt listen
Not when it came to you
I simply refused to hear them
All they said couldnt be true
I ignored the ones who really loved me
Because I loved you

How could you look me in the face
Or even eye to eye?
Knowing your cheating, lying, hateful ways
Would make me want to die

When my eyes were finally open
And my heart set you free
I was able to say goodbye
But no tears did you see

I waited a few minutes
Stupidly hoping you'd come back
Then the tears came
While my heart began to crack

I couldnt let you see me cry
That I could not do
I wouldnt give you the pleasure
Of seeing me cry over you

There is hatred in my heart
That people just dont get
Hatred for all those wasted years
on a selfish, heartless shit

My heart is still broken
And it may always be...
But I have just one question
How could you do that to me?
