angel lockheart - broken

To many times I’ve been hurt,
To many times I’ve been blamed,
To many times my heart has been shattered,
Into so many pieces that I’m afraid,
When I opened my heart
And let you come in
You tore the fragments to useless shreds
And I’m scared that for it ever mend
And be strong enough to hold back together again,
I'll need a love full of unbreakable threads
But even then,
I’ll never be able to place the jagged shards back together right,
And the pieces will crumble into so many parts
That it’ll be like ashes
Left from a fire
That’ll never go out.
