Please ignore the two very inaccurate and very boring books written by Bob Zmuda (Andy Kaufman: Revealed and Andy Kaufman: The Truth. Finally). Theyre terrible and only really serve to prove conclusively that Bob Zmuda is a really terrible writer. He didnt contribute very much to my work (Id figured out most of my characters and routines before I even met him, and we had very little contact from September 1982 to just before my death in 1984, a fact that he never seems to mention). He wasnt my best friend, and over the course of my career I had better friends and collaborators (George Shapiro, David Letterman, Gregg Sutton, Elayne Boosler, etc.). I should also say for the record that Lynne Margulies was not the love of [my] life as Bob claims (we were together for maybe a year).\r
