Androcles and the Lion monologue practice for my grade 6 exam. This is an updated version, but I was running out of time so I will be doing it again soon.

It is a 1912 play written by George Bernard Shaw. The scene takes place in ancient Rome. Androcles and his wife Megaera are running away from persecution and they are in the depths of the forest. Megaera is tired and exhausted and furious with her husband because she doesn't want be there...she rather be at home.
