Andrew Scott Hodson - Morning smells

While I wake up
The first smells that come to me
The smell of breakfast
The smells of the pancakes
The maple syrup
The bacon searing in the pan
After breakfast I walk outside
And take in a big breath
To smell the morning dew
And the flowers that are in my mothers garden
The brisk air hit my nose in it's own special smell
But then my morning bliss ends
when the school bus comes around the corner
