Tonight again, you come crying
and I can't wipe away the tears
once again more lying
with crowded doubts and fears

replaceable you say you feel
and just plain not good enough
was his care not real
were his words hot air puffed

I'm the only guy you've dated
who never cheated on you
yet with me you're not elated
rather treated like a shoe

comfortable to walk in
when the road is hard
but when you begin
to feel free an unbarred

comfortable, you kick me off
and lounge about without care
and break into a cough
because rain is everywhere

now when the road is the worst
it seems you'd finally realize
who will truly quench your thirst
and be your long sought prize

you, I would never replace
you, I would always care for
but I do not have this grace
and cannot sit and wait anymore

will you understand any of this
or choose another idiot
who will treat you like piss
and fill you full of his shit

why was I replaceable back then?
have you ever thought about that?
did I deserve this way back when?
when on my heart you stomped and spat

you can't even consider me
and I cannot see why the hell not
