Out the door, to the world
Mom yelling at us to be safe
Not caring we yelled ok
Running towards a mystical land
Beyond the hill

The rapid thunder the trees shack
Three boys climbing trees
Picking the next site and design
The morning sun hot drying our tongues
Beyond the hill

Splashing each other just caring on
The dip in the cannel
Hot mud pots waiting for the next person
The break from work much appreciated
Beyond the hill

The loud rumble a giant cloud of dust
Seeing the neighbor swathing
Cheerfully and full heartily waving
Dreams flow in three children’s minds
Beyond the hill

Hands calloused stomachs chattering
Headed to one of our houses
Melted cheese in a combination of cut alfalfa in the air
Following the aroma we made it
Beyond the hill

Sitting back for hours laughing a little bit
Walking home after a good day
Getting to home from
Beyond the hill
