ANDREW BLAKEMORE - Stepping-Stones
0 Views • Nov 07, 2014
Description
While standing firm so many years,
Now covered by the weed and moss
And there to dry my lonely tears,
For during all the time apart
I felt despair and so upset,
Her love did always fill my heart
Her sweetness I could not forget.
The stepping-stones I had to cross
For there my dearest love did wait,
To end my hurt and sense of loss
It was my destiny and fate,
To be with her that very day
And for that time I'd waited long,
So carefully I made my way
Upon the mighty rocks so strong.
The stepping-stones I had to cross
To end my suffering and pain,
As sunlight shone on water's gloss
It lit my way to her again,
When I arrived she welcomed me
With such a warm and firm embrace,
And as we kissed so tenderly
I dried the tears upon her face.
