Andrea Valles Mata - A Teacher's Task

God did an amazing wondrous thing,
When he achieved his goal,
He left a blueprint of his plan,
Imprinted on our soul.

But this plan is wisely guarded,
And can only be unlocked
When truth and wisdom are regarded
And ignorance is blocked

A mighty task it may seem to some,
Our life's purpose to reveal
So God gave us all a mentor
This knowledge to unseal

A teacher then comes into our life
And guides us on our way
As we learn the many mysteries
That surround us everyday.

The teacher has this special task
He uses paper pen and ink
And frees our hearts and minds and souls
By teaching us to think

So today we are so grateful,
And pray with all our might
For the ones that God has chosen
To lead us to the light.
