A thousand splinters in my brain
no matter what I'm still sane
something follows me everywhere
drinks don't help I am aware

Water's filling up my lungs
but I'm alive
alive
consumed by it all
I still stand tall
wondering when I'll fall

Hope and darkness make a dance
with blades and daggers I'm the fence
the wishing well is running red
all the tears remain unshed

Envy the normals and their love
the sun is out I'm in my cove
you're losing touch with reality
but I'll never be a casualty

Cheer up,
I'm alive
