Andre Veilleux - Life

It hurts us,
pains us
warps us

to be or not to be something more.
in this existence we call life
this intolerable state of being,
we grab at anything
hopefully something solid
something to anchor us
something to bewilder and potentially please us

we will find no solice or peace of mind here
not with these heavy hearts and searching souls
good things come to those who wait
yet we only wait for death

life is hollow
life is a search for things that are unattainable
life is all an interpretation
an interpretation of lonely
an interpretation of struggle
an interpretation of pain
an interpretation of purpose
there is no purpose to life
interpretations aim at understanding,
life is simply a perspective.
