the ballad of love marked by the elements of pain,
including happiness and moments of joy that cannot be explained,
the calm before the storm expected at long last,
nostalgia... a bittersweet longing for the past,
your mind in one place, your heart in another,
torn between a better friend or a better lover,
torturted by the thought which gives us hope,
that presents no evidence of such,
liberated by the mind that sees truth,
in the face of that which decieves much,
bittersweet is the sensation of life,
the moment you realize anything worth having comes with a price,
and anyone worth being with is worth giving your life.
