I grew up here
Here where forests lay
Unbroken by farmer’s fields
Were the sun shines brightly through the year
Warming my very soul

I grew up here
Here where children play
Below a bright blue sky
Where they’re minds are unbidden by dark thoughts
Safe from all danger

I grew up here
Here where I am safe
Unafraid of others
Where I can play alone or with friends
And I can stay all day

I grew up here
Here in my mind
Were I am happy
Away from the cold dark world
And were I have friends
