Amy Schumer Exits 'Barbie' Movie

Amy Schumer has backed out of the Barbie movie.

That’s right, the 35-year-old has exited the upcoming live-action film due to her scheduling conflicts. This comes from the Hollywood Reporter.

She said that the film has so much promise and Sony and Mattel have been great partners. She added that she’s bummed, but looks forward to seeing Barbie on the big screen.

It was first reported that the Trainwreck star was in talks for the iconic role back in
December, and a lot of people went after her following the casting news.

She responded to those body shamers, saying she was strong and proud of how she lives her life and says what she means and fights for what she believes in. She added that she’s out there fighting for anyone who has ever been bullied or felt bad about themselves.

The Barbie movie is still reportedly going forward… so we’ll keep an eye out for who’s taking her place.
