Amelia Murray - Glass Tree

My walls are of glass.
The Lord has washed them,
They are the purest that they have ever been.
My glass used to be brown with filth.

I can see through it now.
Now I can show others what's on the other side.
I always thought I did.
They only saw what I wanted them to.
Never what was really there.

I put brick walls around my stained glass.
I was afraid of sharp words and shattering dreams,
But then God showed me that He
had made my glass bulletproof.

He send me a vision:
A huge glass tree, with millions of fine leafs.
A strong storm comes, but nothing moved or cracked.
He is the trunk, our strong hold.
We are the millions of fragile leafs.
He will keep us safe, while winds of sinners try to break us.

We are at our weakest,
When we think we are strong.

When I walk past some people,
I see shattered glass.
Pieces left rugged, like an open wound.
It has dried blood on its tips.
These children believe that there is no way out.
They believe there is no hope.

This breaks out Father's heart.

He loves us so unconditionally,
even though we don't deserve it.
So He sends His saved children out
to bring back His lost sheep.
So that He can show them
how much He loves them too.

He repairs their glass.
He helps find and pick up the smallest pieces
so that He can add you to His tree.
So that he can protect what you are.
