According to Business Insider, AMD shares spiked after an event on their next graphics products and microprocessors.
During AMD's Next Horizon event, the chip maker said Amazon will use their latest processors for Amazon Web Services.
Those processors will be based on AMD's new 7-nanometer architecture, but Amazon expects the lower priced chips will lead to lower costs for cloud services.
