This issue came to limelight after Pavithra's husband filed petition to find his wife, who was reported to have been kidnapped by strangers. Later, it was found out that Pavithra eloped with her Muslim boyfriend to Chennai. The cops found her boyfriend and arrested him for kidnapping charges. But, the issue became serious after he died in prison. This suspicious death turned out as an religious fight at Ambur.
