I never fell for someone
the way I fell for you
but in the end
my decision
wasn't the right one
I was shunned and humiliated
My scarlet letter
burned on my chest
I lost two loved ones
you and Pearl
I caused so much pain to you
you were slowly dying
but unlike you
I got stronger with time
but you got weaker
so weak that you died
at the time it felt so right
I was so happy
but I was wrong
oh was I wrong
Nothing could compare
Except for the sin of Chillingworth
His sin was far greater
He tormented you until your death
he died shortly after
like a leach dried up in the sun
I wish with all of my heart
that we may be together again
that God will show his mercy
and will let us be together in the end
you truly are my love
and no one else can compare
to the way i feel for you
