Description

A beautiful brown skinned six year old her named Rahkiya
Shes my daughter, my best friend, and my everything
I take her to the park while other kids stop, stare and whisper
'Are they talking about me? ' she says with a funny look and snickers
They like your curly locks is all I can say in reply
Shes an intelligent, happy and fun little girl thats confused, but she knows her skin is different
We leave the park and get to the front door just before I unlock it....
'Mommy...Why can't I look like you? '...'I want straight yellow hair like you.'
My eyes begin to water as rahkiya stands in saddness with one thumb in her mouth and the other twisting her lovely locks.
You are perfect the way you are and will always be.
I hold her tight and kiss her on the head...
You are an angel, your here for a reason and don't ever forget what I said.
Nobody is made the same but beautiful all in different ways
We are not to judge so let lord do is job for others when it comes the end of days.
