World's apart with hidden love.
Miles between roads blocking off.
Streets we still try to drive.
We say go but they say stop.

They say it'll help.
We say it'll crush.
I can speak for myself,
This isn't just lust.

They think that it's best.
We know that it's not.
This pain in my chest-
It feels like a shot.

I can't even breathe
When I think about that.
You can't just leave me,
Please don't turn your back.

I need you here,
Sincerely, I do.
You have to be near.
I can't live without you.

Once you walk away
My purpose does too.
If you do not stay
My days will be blue.

All color gone,
Nothing but rain.
No glimpse of the sun
For it feels betrayed.

Therefore it will hide
Until you come back.
I want you by my side
So please make it fast.
